Baronial Acres

Established in 1978, Baronial Acres & Mercantile sits in the middle of rural Washington County.

Our approach to farming is holistic and sustainable, as we strive to bring about the best of all practices for the life of our animals, plants, and customers.

Everyone deserves to have access to healthy, tasty food, and this is why we have launched a 250-member CSA with our crates of vegetables and meat, as well as wholesale to various food pantries and organizations aligned with our mission.

As Western Oregon appears to be transitioning away from farming and agricultural lands, Baronial Acres & Mercantile is determined to uphold traditional values and the American dream.

Baronial Acres CSA has designed a revolutionary agriculture system to tackle the issues that our contemporary industrialized food system is confronting. Individuals in the community purchase a 'share' of the farm’s total yield in the early stages of the growing season. Shareholders then visit the farm on a weekly or monthly basis from June until November, where they receive the farm’s freshest, highest quality produce and meats.

This one-of-a-kind partnership ensures the farmer financial security, while simultaneously allowing farm shareholders to witness the place where their food is produced and learn more about the growers.

CSA emphasizes constructing a sense of community and getting citizens involved in taking charge of the land where their food is developed. Both the farmer and the farm member benefit and confront the possible rewards and losses related to agriculture. Community Supported Agriculture forms an alliance between a farm and the people in a cooperative manner, offering members with the best quality, most cost-effective products, freshly harvested by the farmer.

The effects of our food selections on our planet and society are paramount in a world where the majority of food is shipped thousands of miles before arriving at our homes. Becoming a part of a CSA provides community members the opportunity to influence how their food is grown and how their food expenses are allocated. By being a CSA member, you are not only able to relish the best produce that is collected daily by the farmer, but you are also contributing to the conservation of local farmlands.
